Charming Hotels in France

This type of france holiday accommodation can range from small cozy hotels, to grand castles or country manors.

For a more gastronomic experience, Hôtel-Restaurants or Hostelleries offer rooms and meals, that can range from simple to extravagant. Auberges

If you're looking for something small and family run and are interested in local produce and cooking, you could try an Auberge - a rustic-type inn (although sometimes they can be more swanky too) offering room and meals. They tend to be based in the countryside although you'll find them in towns and cities as well.

There are also ferme auberges (farm inns) run by the Bienvenue a la Ferme network. For a farm to be a member, 80% of the ingredients used for cooking must be grown on the farm itself. You can search for a farm with a particular 'theme' such as 'discovery farms', 'educational farms', even hunting farms.

If you need self-catering accommodation, or you're part of a larger group, a gîte can be your home away from home.
